The Bridge

Vatsalya Legacy Educational Society – making Inclusive Education Exclusive- THE BRIDGE

The Indian Constitution affords its citizens numerous rights – one of which is the right to education. In addition, The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) recognises the right to inclusive education for all persons with disabilities/ special needs. Its Committee lays out in detail what governments must do so that every child, including children with special needs, has a right to inclusive education.

Importance of inclusive education:

Inclusive education  involves cultivating a learning environment where all  children learn together in the same schools, are treated equitably, have equal access to such learning that addresses their individual needs. It helps create more inclusive societies where children with special needs can work to contribute economically and socially to their communities.

Moreover, all  stakeholders of the school (e.g., administration, staff, students, and parents) promote cooperative and/or collaborative teaching  systems. They ensure that the methodology, the curriculum, school premises, transport and even washrooms are suited to every child at every level.

The Bridge   – Professionally geared for Inclusive Education

The only psychological consultants offering training, teaching, counselling  therapies and remedials under one roof pan India. We work towards inclusive education, mental well being and child protection offering counseling and taking them through a specially developed 17-point  advanced assessment program. It is based on when, where and how much training needs to be imparted until the child can join mainstream schools.

Through scientific and holistic methods, those with developmental issues like autism, learning disability, ADHD, emotional and behaviourial concerns including those associated with adolescence, can be made to achieve full potential. Such children would be attended to by a team of experts in occupational therapy, clinical and counselling psychology, special education; speech, language and communication therapists; audiologists ,developmental specialists and others.
